Freezing Knights is my first real attempt at creating a game. It took about 7 months to develop and was mainly inspired by that one RPG series with two plumbers🐢.
It originally released as part of the Twelve Days of Pico-8 Christmas 2022 event.
The game was made in the Pico-8 fantasy console, and is therefore limited to a 128x128 resolution and 16 colors.
Version 1.1.0 - December 29, 2022
- Added skip tutorial option
- Decreased tutorial length

- Updated color of unavailable items in rest menu
Version 1.0.3 - December 16, 2022
- Fixed Knight B losing the sword when entering a rest area
Version 1.0.2 - December 15, 2022

Soundtrack is fire, tons of levels and features, looks amazing, and is intuitive and fun! Blown away by it
Big potential here with this game! Loving it!
Great game. Hope that one day Freezing Knights 2 will exist. Also I love the wizards and the chickens.
This is really fantastic, the artwork especially.
I don't know if there's a design logic behind it, but I frequently found myself wishing I could see enemy health. It's hard to strategize when you don't know how best to allocate your damage on a turn.
